Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using marhaba!. By using the app you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using marhaba!, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
marhaba! is not directed at children under the age of 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the app.
3. Use of the Service
marhaba! grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes. You must not misuse the service, attempt to access it by any means other than the interface we provide, or use it in a way that could harm marhaba! or other users.
4. Accounts
Creating an account requires a valid email address, which we verify with a one-time code before you can use the app. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account. marhaba! will not be liable for any loss resulting from your failure to protect your login credentials.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features of marhaba! require a paid subscription, offered as a monthly or annual plan with an optional free trial. All billing is handled through the Apple App Store using your Apple ID. Subscriptions automatically renew at the price shown at checkout unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings, or from the Manage Subscription option in the app.
6. The AI Translation Feature
The "Translate with Marhaba" feature in the Search tab sends the text you enter to a third-party AI service to generate a translation, and the underlying search itself is powered by a third-party translation service. Do not submit sensitive personal information through this feature. AI-generated translations may occasionally be inaccurate and are provided for learning purposes only, not as a substitute for professional translation.
7. Content
All course content, including lessons, vocabulary, grammar explanations, and exercises, is owned by or licensed to marhaba!. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
8. User-Generated Content
If you submit any feedback, suggestions, or other content (for example, through our support email), you grant marhaba! a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use and incorporate it into the service without compensation to you.
9. Termination and Account Deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the service or other users. You may permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from the Settings screen. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription - cancel separately through your Apple ID settings to stop future billing.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
marhaba! is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, marhaba! shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
